Fashion One’s Top 10 Trends for Spring 2015

Gingham prints were a crowdpleaser and were seen on the runways of Altuzarra, Bottega Veneta, and Ralph Lauren.
Sporty became sassy on the runways of Charlotte Ronson, Topshop, and Stella McCartney. Think polo dresses with platform sandals, and lots and lots of color.
Retro styles are back in, but the key is being subtle. Opt for references via proportions and material, like the ankle grazing skirts and velvet tops seen at Loewe.
Spring is synonymous with festival season, and that means festival looks are all around. Baby dolls and trapeze dresses like the ones seen at Tommy Hilfiger are this season’s wardrobe musts.
Kimono style dusters and coats are also one of the top trends this season, and goes perfectly with the festival and 70s themes of spring.
All-black ensembles have long been a staple in the industry, but this season it’s all about dressing in head-to-toe white, as seen on Balmain and Issey Miyake.
We’re borrowing from the boys again this season with slinky trousers and pinstriped suits. Elie Saab gave tomboys a heavy dose of sex appeal.
Marsala is the color of the year, and everyone from Victoria Beckham to Zac Posen went absolutely mad over it.
A 70s revival also means a renewed appreciation for nature. Prints, shades of green, and foliage references were seen at Chanel and Lanvin.
Utilitarian styles reached a new level of chic on the runways of Tommy Hilfiger, Chloe, and Sacai. Navy blues and army greens are in close competition with this season's pastels and Marsala.
